It may look like the spontaneous hokey pokey. But that's just because the head table isn't particulary good at Tai Chi. But, thanks to Rona Williams and Yellowknife's branch of the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Canada, that may change!

Rona Williams had no trouble getting Yellowknife Rotarians on our feet on January 8, when she spoke to our Club about the benefits of Tai Chi. Practitioners of this slow motion martial art enjoy improved balance, increased strength & flexibility, relaxation and energy gain. Just what Rotarians need to improve our community service!

We were treated to a demonstration from several members who joined us for lunch -- and we even got to try some basic moves. Several Rotarians expressed interest in joining the Tai Chi society for beginner classes, at the Baker Centre, Saturday mornings 9-10am. www.western.canada.taoist.org
