Celebrate Canada Committee

Andreas Tesfaye brought some style to our meeting on 11 December 2008, when he and Lona Hegeman told us about the Celebrate Canada Committee.

Club members listened intently on 11 December 2008 when Andreas and Lona told us of their work in promoting Canada and Canadian citizenship through the Celebrate Canada Committee. It's abundantly clear that the NWT is well represented in this national organisation!

Rotarian Lona Hegeman is President of Celebrate Canada Committee NWT (CCCNWT). Her son, Andreas Tesfaye, serves as a Director and mascot. CCCNWT achievements in 2007 include the Rotary Canada Day Parade, Canada Flag Day, Aboriginal Day and celebrating Quebec City 400 years.
