Last Meeting's Program

Last week’s program was provided by Rotarian Chuck Gore. Chuck’s guest speaker was Ernie Bywater with “Warriors Journey.”

Ernie Bywater is the operations director at The Warriors Journey and is a 14-year veteran of the US Air Force. His experiences in the Air Force include avionics technician, Military Training Instructor and Tech lead supervisor. After their military service Ernie and his wife Carrie felt that the Lord was leading them to full time ministry, spending 17 years in pastoral ministry serving Northern Michigan. Ernie has a BA in pastoral ministry, from Southeastern University and a master’s in organizational leadership from Evangel University.

The Warrior’s Journey is an interactive online community for military members, veterans and their families. It presents the message of faith as a path for them to find wholeness in everyday life. In cooperation with other military partnerships, foundations, and non-profits, TWJ presents a wide range of resources that cover the unique issues that they encounter in service and at home.

The vision of The Warrior’s Journey is that warriors and their families will live in wholeness and be equipped to navigate the issues of life. The mission of The Warrior’s Journey is to help warriors and their families discover and grow in their journey with God by providing contextual opportunities to participate in an active faith community of believers.

The strategy of The Warrior’s Journey is to interact online with warriors and their families in finding wholeness in daily life by searching, presenting, connecting, growing, and belonging. TWJ provides help to those who are navigating through the unique issues that military life present; help for those who need to support and lead our warriors, and resources for those who find themselves preparing for every event experienced by a warrior or a member of their family. Club News

Thank you to all Rotarians who helped with cooking and serving over 2,000 hot dogs and other refreshments at the Christmas Parade. Special thanks to Lee Williams / Felton's Grocery for providing much of the product!

Thank you to all who attended the Rotary Christmas Party. A great time was had by all and the gifts for children will be appreciated!

Thank you, Jodi Stevens for coordinating high school students with the opportunity to gift-wrap shoes for the local Boys and Girls Club.

The deer hunting season has been good to the venison committee! They have enough venison for the upcoming Wild Game Cookout. Do not shoot a deer just for the venison committee!

Final numbers are in for Dancing with the Locals: Gross revenue was over $103,000 and the net was close to $55,000! Great job, Rotarians!
