Last Meeting's Program

Last week's meeting featured Plant City Police Chief, James Bradford.

Mr. Bradford was hired in mid-November 2020 to replace retiring Chief Duncan. Chief Bradford praised Ed Duncan's leadership, and stated that the department was in great shape when he took the helm.

The Chief thanked the local community for their warm welcome to his family. He said he thought he "knew Plant City," but has realized after just a few months that he did not really "know" Plant City. He recognizes that Plant City is a unique and supportive community that generally cares for each other. Chief Bradford is encouraging his staff to engage with this community to further that culture.

The Chief entertained questions from the membership, and provided great insight into the agency.

At the end of the meeting, he provided each member with a free "Get Out of Jail" card! You just had to be there!
