Fall Couples Cookout Report
Committee Chair Doug Watson had no idea how this event would go. He hoped to raise around $20,000, but knew it would be an uphill climb, given the lack of recent history, the never-ending uncertainty with COVID, the weather, the election, and whatever else God decided to throw our way. But to quote our program speaker, Scott Schwebke, Doug “created his own weather,” and the membership responded in typical Rotarian excellence. Based upon preliminary results, Doug projects this event raised nearly, and possibly over $50,000.
In typical Doug fashion, he credited the Committee and the Club, but we all know his leadership prevailed, and Rotary continues to be the premier organization in Plant City.
Congratulations, Doug, for a job well done. Thank you Committee and Rotary members for your continued passion toward the Club, the City, and it's Community.
