Last week’s program was presented by Rotarian Steve Smith. Steve’s guest speaker was Robb Bennett, National Director of All Pro Dad’s. All Pro Dad is on a mission to help you love and lead your family well. Be a hero to your kids. All Pro Dads are a group of people passionately committed to bringing intentional focus to fathers around the world. Our message will inspire you to embrace who you are, give you tenderness of heart, and boldness of character as a dad and husband. We are consistently here for you to provide guidance and practical tips in raising your kids in a life giving way. All Pro Dad exists to provide truth, love and hope to over 24 million fatherless kids, plus fathers that are emotionally challenged around the county. All Pro Dad reaches more than 6 million people with its radio show and other programs. They have been around for 26 years as a non-profit organization. Tony Dungy is their national spokesman and does an amazing job of encouraging and motivating Dads around the world. All Pro Dad is a faith based organization that embraces God’s greatest commandment to love one another. They exist to make sure kids are getting the love they deserve and preserving marriages. All Pro Dad has several events and opportunities on a regular basis to ensure the commitment to kids. “Play of the Day” is a one minute a day email that helps with parenting ideas. “All Pro Dad Day” is one hour a month meeting that impacts 75,000 people once a month through over 1,360 chapters in an effort to build stronger foundations with kids. Community Appreciation Day
Community Appreciation day is scheduled for Saturday, August 5. Mark your calendars! Below is a message from Past-President Charles Harris:

I wanted to reach out as we are a little less than a month away for our 2nd Community Appreciation Fun Day on August 5th. This event was a tremendous success last year and is expected to be even bigger and better this year. Our Rotary Club is offering a backpack with school supplies to the first 500 children that attend. The club is looking to our members and business owners to assist us in gaining these supplies. We are looking for any supplies such as pens, pencils, notepads, rulers, erasers, etc. that is used for marketing and promotion from your company. This will help the club greatly by reducing the amount of items purchased at retail by the club as well as helping you promote your business. The club would also appreciate any financial donations to support us in purchasing any of these items.

Rotary International Board adopts new zone structure
At its January 2017 meeting, the Rotary International Board of Directors adopted a new zone structure for Rotary clubs. Rotary bylaws require the Board to complete a comprehensive review of the 34 Rotary zones no less often than every eight years to ensure that each zone has an approximately equal number of Rotarians. The Board’s previous review of the zones occurred in 2008. When Teguest Yilma helped found the Rotary Club of Addis Ababa Entoto in 2002, she thought polio had already been eradicated from most of the world.
