Thank you fellow Rotarian and BayCare hospital president, Karen Kerr, for updating the Club on the new BayCare hospital that is under construction in Plant City.
After 67 years at its current location, the South Florida Baptist Hospital will move approximately 4 miles northeast to the corner of E Sam Allen Road and North Park Road.
The $326 million project includes two 6-story towers and a medical office building, and will nearly double the space from its current location.
At this time, BayCare has not determined what it will do with the existing building. Some potential future uses include a long-term care and/or rehab facility.
