A big "thank you" to Alan Kicklighter for coordinating last week's program, which was a Quilts of Valor presentation to three local veterans.
The Quilts of Valor Foundation dedicates Veterans and Service Members with a quilt that symbolizes comfort and healing. Since the foundation started keeping records in 2010, this all-volunteer organization has presented over 295,000 quilts to veterans.
Three veterans were recognized during the meeting:
Airman First Class Gilbert Gott
Gilbert Gott joined the US Air Force in October 1961, and served until 1965. His military service included flying mission in Japan and Thailand.
Warrant Officer Ivan Cardwell
Ivan Cardwell served in the Army Air Corps from 1952 to 1972. Ivan's service included Portugal, the Pentagon, and support to Air Force One.
Colonel Brian Keeth
Colonel Keeth served in the US Army from 1981 to 2008. Keeth's service included Panama, Desert Storm, and US Special Operations Command.

Bulletin Update
In addition to this online bulletin, the Club will print a monthly bulletin. Please take a moment to review the January edition, which is available at the check-in table, and let me (Scott Gardner) know if you have any corrections to the directory portion of the bulletin. (I am aware a block of phone numbers got "shifted," which will hopefully be corrected in the next issue.)
Also, I need content! Please send me news about the good works and accomplishments of our fellow Rotarians, so that it can be shared here and in the print edition.
Special thanks to Mike Arndt at Minuteman Press for his team's help in producing the hard-copy bulletin, and to Kayla Drawdy for her help getting them to the meeting, and helping with photos.
Bulletin Sponsorships Available!
Sponsorships are available to support the printing and web-hosting costs. Please note that the annual sponsorship cost is reduced from $125 to $75. What a deal! Please contact Scott Gardner or Brittany Keys to become a sponsor.
