Dan Paarsmarkt of the Rotary Club of Cochrane is preparing for an epic bike ride.
From early to late June he will undertake a challenging 1600 km bike ride through
Alberta from the Northwest Territories to Montana. He is riding to raise funds to help end Polio, a disease that Rotary International is
committed to fighting and ending.
Through an arrangement with Rotary International, for every dollar Paarsmarkt's
ride raises, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will kick in two. Dan hopes to bike about 200 km a day. He plans on completing his ride in
Cochrane, Alberta on June 17, after riding up trom the Montana border.
