Program — CMAP / Kathy Bisbee / Executive Director / 6 Years
Did you know that her grandfather struck out Babe Ruth in a Division Game in Richmond, VA in 1934? What a claim to fame!
Raised in small town in Western Maine, no internet, phone, television.
Kathy was an avid reader. She attributes her success and love of technology and creativity to a teacher who helped her see her potential.
CMAP’s mission is to change lives through facilitation, commitment and self-expression through media education etc. They have served over 3,000 youth in the past five years. Features “TV made by you — the community” — local government, schools, non-profits and events. It is mostly volunteer based.
Currently struggling to identify additional sources of funding to compensate for the loss of $ from cable companies who now charge for some of the services that they hadn’t before. There are 25K subscribers currently plus web traffic. They are the local PPS station. Information regarding programming can be obtained on their website.
