Senior Picnic-Rick Patereau, June 7th 10 am for volunteers

 

Area 6 Project was Saturday from 8-4 in San Juan Bautista. The San Juan Bautista Club hosted a yummy tri-tip lunch cooked for us by the City Manager. We spruced up the Plaza Park on 3rd Street building new walkways, gates, benches and white-washed the adobe wall surrounding the park.

 

Flower Sale at Syngenta Flowers report was given by Whitney Pintello.

Thank you to Joel Goldsmith who set up the flower sale originally and negotiated with Syngenta to continue the tradition. Marion and Rod Pintello for breakfast treats and snacks. Steve Peet for lunch from McDonalds.

 

We surpassed last year’s total gross, $46,000, and reached our goal of $50,000! Great Job Whitney!

Program for the day was guest Kathina Szeto organizer of the First Annual San Benito Olive Festival a Gourmet Celebration in October 2013. It was held at Paicines Ranch and will be held at Balado Park in Tres Pinos this year on October 11, 2014. Kathina has San Benito Bene in Downtown Hollister where she sells many local gourmet foods and gifts.
