Meeting was held at the Hilton Garden Inn. No visiting Rotarians this week. Rachel Foster was a guest from Interact Club from Sobrato High School, Morgan Hill.


Chief Turner gave a presentation for checking IDs and who you cannot sell to, obviously no minors or intoxicated individuals. If you serve to either you can personally be cited by the Police. If you have a problem contact Police immediately.








Paul Vanni and Paul Wheeler both said they need more volunteers for the Garlic Festival weekend.



Renz Gulch is rescheduled to August 21st and it will be our weekly meeting and starting at 5:30.











In the spirit of “Let’s Share Rotary” membership drive Rick will have 3 things every meeting: brochures, lunch tickets/business cards and membership proposal forms.

Sheriff was Susan Valenta who said there was a shortage of helium this year for the Garlic Festival which ranks it right up there with water & air, much laughter followed. She charged members for gifts she brought.










Hugh Davis, this years president of the Garlic Festival who is a 25 year volunteer. Hugh stated they are adding 6,500 square feet of shade at the Vineyard stage, doubling garlic fries and garlic bread in production, hopefully shorter waits in line. The festival has donated over $9 million back to the community. New demonstration table for cook off stage. Teen zone is new this year and handled by a vendor.  Train service will not be happening because the Dodgers are in town.
