Our Charity Golf Tournament featured 17 total teams with 64 golfers including nine teams led by Rotarians, thank you! RCWR raised approximately $22,000 in total revenue and expect the amount for charity to be approximately $20,000. More than 25 volunteers from the club, including a dedicated committee consisting of Jim Epps, Bob Ramseur, Neil Woodcock, Joe Fitzpatrick, Casey Nagel, Moe Hassan, Kevin Bodiford, John MacKethan, and Liz McFarlane, planned and executed the myriad of “behind the scenes” work that were critical in making this year’s tournament another resounding success. Total club participation was more than 40 club members. Thank you for your support!  The proceeds from the tournament will provide financial support to many local charities dedicated to improving life in both our community and the world!

The Rotary Foundation seeks to promote international understanding, good will and peace in practical, realistic terms. Special Grants and grants for the Health, Hunger and Humanity (3-H) program are made throughout the year to support international charitable projects sponsored by Rotary clubs or districts. Scholarships and Group Study Exchanges are awarded annually to gifted men and women both to further their education and to hone their skills as effective ''ambassadors of good will'' in countries other than their own. Exposure to the life and customs of the study country through the guidance of Rotarian hosts and their families results in camaraderie and lasting friendships that help realize the Foundation's goal of furthering international understanding.
