Designing Soils for Major Urban Landscape Venues

Dr. Barrett L. Kays has an undergraduate degree in Horticulture, master degree from NCSU in Landscape Architecture, and doctoral degree from NCSU in Soil Science.  Since, 1975 Barrett has been working to solve compaction and deterioration problems in urban soils.  In the last 30 years he has been solving soil problems in major urban parks and other high use urban venues across the United States.  Barrett now serves as science and design consultant to twelve national and international landscape architecture firms which have won numerous national design and sustainability awards.
