For new young members, aged 35 years and under, who wish to join the West Raleigh Rotary Club we offer to supplement the cost of membership for up to 2 years for new members who become actively engaged in our Club.  This supplement will be as much as $400 for year one and $200 for year two to encourage young, prospective members, who might find the cost of membership too great a monetary expense and a barrier to membership.  This supplemental grant would apply to total membership dues.
The objective is to entice energetic, active, new members who will “roll up their sleeves” and become engaged with our mission of putting “service above self” and further Rotary charitable works locally and globally.  In accepting this supplemental grant, the new young member must agree to participate actively in the Club—by. e.g., serving on an established committee or as a current Club officer, by helping with a Club Local or District project, and/or by initiating a new Club project or community service action.  As these grants are limited to just 4 new young members in this first year of the new policy, timely response of any interested new members and their sponsors is encouraged.
