Mississippi State Senator Hillman Frazier who advanced legislation to make Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday a state holiday in Mississippi and to formally adopt the 13th amendment abolishing slavery and involuntary servitude in the United States.
As we roll into February and hope Puxatawny Phil has declared there won't be six more weeks of winter, allow me to highlight that we ended January with our Camaraderie for a Cause at Triple Sun spotlighting AARK Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. Shout out to Joanne and Dan Peterson, our C4C chairs in setting up this event. Two days ago at our dinner meeting we welcomed Steve Kendra a member of the Souderton Telford Rotary Club and District 7430 representative on the Rotoplast Mission. Steve talked about the missions that Rotoplast has done and why it is important to the Rotary mission.
At our Wednesday February 11th, 2026 lunch meeting we will welcome Dawn Haaz and Dawn Wright of the non profit Girls Empowered . Their organization is doing wonderful things for young girls with their self esteem and confidence. After the meeting for those members interested and the more hands the merrier, we will be creating Valentine Day cards for our seniors in local assisted living and nursing homes. This is a wonderful project to take part in . Our Wednesday February 18th, 2026 lunch are classification talks and committee chair reports facilitated by our Chairperson of the Board and the new President of the Northampton Township Business and Professional Association, Mick Petrucci.

Saturday March 28th, 2026 Rotary Leadership Institute is being held at DeSales University in Center Valley. What a way to learn more about Rotary from former District Governors and Past Presidents of District clubs. The club picks up the registration and you get a continental breakfast along with lunch. Please consider volunteering your time to help prepare and serve a special Valentine's Day Brunch at the Levittown Homeless Shelter on Saturday, February 14th from 9:30am - 1:00pm. Joe Garvey will be whipping up an amazing brunch to serve to the residents and we'll also have little gift bags for the 35 children who will be joining us as well. What a great way to spread some Valentines cheer so we hope to see you there!

ChoiceOne Pregnancy Center Relocation - 11/15
On November 15th, members of the NextGen Rotary group were proud to support ChoiceOne Pregnancy Center in Levittown by assisting with the relocation of their office resources to their new facility. NextGen members spent the day moving furniture, supplies, and essential materials to help ensure a smooth transition. Thanks to the collective effort of our members, what would have otherwise taken several days was completed in just one day. The ChoiceOne team expressed their sincere gratitude for the support, and we were honored to lend a helping hand to an organization that serves our community so faithfully.

Dinner Meeting - 2/4
During our Dinner Meeting on Wednesday, February 4th, we welcomed Steve Kendra, from Rotary District 7430. Steve spoke to us about "Rotoplast" whose mission is to provide free reconstructive surgery and comprehensive care for children with clefts and other birth defects in regions lacking access to such treatment. He shared some heartwarming and inspiring stories from his recent mission in Medellin, Colombia where he spent over two weeks supporting over 100 surgeries for children and young adults. Our Club is putting plans together on how we can support at least one, if not more surgeries ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us, Steve!
