I want to reiterate that it is truly an honor to serve as your President. I am grateful for your confidence, and I look forward to working alongside each of you. My vision this year is centered on “We are better together” and creating lasting change through leadership, fellowship, service, and community impact.
Together We Lead. Together We Serve. Together We Create Lasting Legacies.
As your president, let me highlight that we have something special – a club strengthened by friendship, shared purpose, and a unique blend of seasoned wisdom and fresh perspectives. I want to acknowledge that together, you all help create an environment where experience meets innovation; where every member can contribute, grow, and lead.
This year, I want to help strengthen our culture of stewardship, transparency, and collaboration through a clear leadership structure and membership engagement. Let us support diversity in the communities and projects we support. With the ideas and leadership, we bring to the table, we can create even greater impact.
As Paul Harris once said, “Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves." Let's achieve great results this year—and do it together as we take the Rotary Club of Newtown to new heights.

The Newtown Rotary Club was proud to mark its 24th year collecting bicycles and sewing machines for Pedals for Progress. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we collected more than 160 bicycles and more than 20 sewing machines, along with meaningful contributions toward the cost of shipping these items overseas. The bicycles and sewing machines are headed to Madagascar, where they will help people get to work and school and provide for their families. We are grateful to our community, volunteers, and everyone who helped spread the word as we took another important step toward making the world a better place. Special thanks to Jerry Agasar, our fearless chairman, for his leadership, and to Allen Fidler for the use of his barn throughout the process. Lastly, thank you to our friends at Servpro(Bill Wise) for bringing hot coffee and donuts on such a cold and windy morning!
Our First Children's Fall Festival!!!
The Newtown Rotary Club’s first-ever Children’s Fall Fest was an incredible community celebration filled with laughter, music, treats, and unforgettable family memories! From YoYo! the children’s musician and amazing balloon sculptures to Gold Pumpkins for the Cure, the Tootsie-Roll Pop Spider Craft Table, the Churchville Nature Center activities, and our popcorn station, there was something for everyone to enjoy! A huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and everyone who came out to make our inaugural event such a success. This would not have been possible without Shari Donahue's vision to create this event that has now become a Rotary tradition! This is what Rotary is all about: service, fellowship, and making a positive difference right here in our community.
Rotarians Supporting NOVA!!!
The Newtown Rotary Club brought friends and neighbors together at MaGerk’s in Langhorne for Camaraderie for a Cause, a fundraiser benefiting NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance) on Thursday, October 29th. The evening combined fellowship, fun, and community spirit while raising awareness and support for NOVA’s important work assisting victims and strengthening our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this meaningful cause, demonstrating the power of coming together to make a difference! And special thanks to Penny Ettinger for speaking to us at this fundraiser. We all learned so much about the important work you and your group are doing to help our community. We share the same vision of Service Above Self, thank you.
