Dear fellow Rotarians,
We had another amazing lunch meeting with 20 like minded individuals in attendance listening to a very passionate guest speaker letting us all know about her nonprofit she founded called “fuel the force”. Christine Nelson of Newtown Township explained how she had a vision to feed police officers as they came into her place of employment at LaStalla Market while on duty to thank them for their service and also to show gratitude towards them. As a matter of fact our very own Jeff Werner of Patch.com also was in attendance and he ended up doing an interview with Christine for a future story.
Oh our Rotary team continues to build up and we have had a tremendous past week doing such… Our treasurer Ginny has been hard at work rectifying bank account and getting our nonprofit status and tax exempt certificate in order. I have appointed our new Director of marketing and PR, Stephanie Eubanks has been doing a wonderful job on social media and also sending out save the dates to all of our local media outlets for Rotary events.
I hope to continue our momentum this week coming up, please be sure to join us Wednesday at 12:15 PM for a great lunch at the Temperance House. We do not have a guest speaker this week, looking forward to spreading more detailed Rotary news with all… Still looking for someone to fulfill the role of Sergeant at arms.
