Newtown Rotary Club Presents $500 Check to Newtown Library

Newtown, PA. Paul Orihel, President of the Club greeted Dennis O’Brien and Frank Brassell of the Newtown Library Company. “The Newtown Rotary Club is pleased to be a Silver Sponsor of the Newtown Library 5K run and present you with this $500 check as part of our annual allocation process,” said Orihel.

Messrs. Brassell and O’Brien reviewed some of the Library’s accomplishments in its 250 plus years of service, as well as its upcoming 5K run on October 18 to raise funds to continue its mission.

Mr. Orihel added that “As a service club, we are delighted to be able to support an institution which is so important to the community.”

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization. Its more than 1.2 million members volunteer their time and talents to further the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self”. The Newtown Rotary Club, founded in 1953, has served the local and international communities for over 60 years.
