Our one guest was Bill Carey of the Clipper Magazine from Hanover. Bill is a friend of Walter's.

Candace welcomed everyone to Club Night

No winner for the Queen of Hearts, the Pot is over $400. There are only 18 cards left!.

May 9 - Duxbury Pancake Breakfast

May 11 - South Shore Art Center - 4:00PM - 6:00 This event is the culmination of the African Studies collaboration between Fates seventh grade, Hatherly sixth grade and Scituate Rotary. This promises to be a wonderful event with African music, African art produced by the student, and refreshments served by the Hatherly PTO. This will be a great opportunity for the Scituate Rotary to interact with many parents and children from Scituate and to explain our role in this wonderful project.

May 14 - 16 - District conference on Cape Cod - Open Meeting on May 14th from 7:30 - 8:45 Conflict Resolution - headed by Mike

May 19 - South Sore Council Presidents Night at the Lantana in Randolph - tickets $35

May 22 - RYLA Weekend - Dietrich will be attending the three day event

May 22 - Trunk Sale - Scituate High School 8:00 to Noon - $20 per car - $2 donation for Polio per person - Adds in the Mariner, the Patriot Ledger. Lisa will be on WATD to talk about the event. We need many volunteers for the event. The club is thinking about having a bake table at the event.

June 3 - Governor Charlie's installation at the Century House in Accushnet. The club is hoping for a big showing for this event. Governor Charlie was very supportive for our Red Lion event. Janice will be driving. President Candace is attending. Janice has room for three more in her car.

July 4 - "Freedom Is Not Free" This exciting event will be at the Common. It is being chaired by the American Legion. There will be a fly over. The National Band will be playing. And the very very special guest speaker will be General Casey, US Joint Chief of Staff. Even our own Joe Kelly will be speaking. Mark you calendars for this special event.

President Candace Cramer presented a special Paul Harris Fellow pin to Janet Schmitz, a PHF pin with a ruby. This is her 7th (!) PHF pin.
