It was a fabulous Christmas party and a great way to end the calendar year in the gracious home of Janice and Rusty Brown. We thank them for being our holiday hosts for the third year- it is becoming a tradition. Such a beautiful setting and an abundance of delicious festive food, including a "Buche de Noel" for dessert.

The house was filled with Yuletide spirit, and the lighted fireplaces and candle glow provided the perfect setting to welcome Paul Prescott as a new member. Bernie Westerveld was his sponsor and President Bob installed him by the fireside as we all cheered on.

A brief meeting followed to provide an update of our Phone Book- we still need to be making follow up calls to our advertisers and confirm their contracts for renewal. New ads need to be pursued also. Remember every new ad means extra money to distribute next year to our Rotary projects.

Diane is currently taking member donations for the RussianOrphanageHospital. Our contributions will provide gifts for their celebration of Russian Orthodox Christmas. Veronica Vedensky is helping to coordinate this project. We have raised $350 to date. If you haven't already made a gift, please see Diane.

Bob invited all Rotarians and families to attend our club sponsored Concert of Light. Since we could not sponsor Elisabeth von Trapp this year, we will still hold the concert at St. Mary's Church on Sunday Jan. 4th at 3pm. Several church choirs will provide the Caroling Program and a free will donation will be taken and given to the Scituate Food Pantry.

See you on January 7th for a New Year's Club Night!

May you all have A Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Bright, Healthy New Year.

Respectfully Submitted,

Sponsors
