4 April 2018: Club Night

Meeting was held at Scituate Country Club, Scituate

Meeting was called to order by Debbie Wheeler, President at 6:30 PM

Lucille thanked Debbie and ChinChin for the great concert on March 25th.

Debbie: Money is still coming in from the concert. We have received $2371.00 so far for the well project. .

Debbie gave a presentation to the Milton Club on April 2017 about the Uganda well-drilling project and Sheri Richardson President of the Milton Club and Debbie have stayed in touch since then and they have advertised it in several ways. Sheri will join us on April 11 .

Amy Stern was introduced by Debbie, president as a new member and was installed and given the new membership booklet, pin and badge. Everyone introduced themselves and their involvement in Rotary. Amy then told us about herself, family and work and interests. She grew up in Maryland, is married and has twin boys who are 19 years old. She has been in the health field for many years. She is an improvement Directory at Univ. Reach Co.. LCC . She mainly is working on improving the quality of HIV services in several countries. In the Scituate Rotary Meeting on March 14th she was our speaker and there is more detail of her work In those minutes. She likes to travel, walk and read.

By-laws: Debbie passed out the proposed wording change to the bylaws regarding the proposal of new members. Judy had sent out an e-mail of this to the members.

We will vote on April 18th after all members have received proposed change.

50/50: Lucille said we have sold 63 tickets. We need to sell at least 60 more tickets. She encourage everyone to try an sell more tickets. There will be a flier in the Scituate and Marshfield Mariners. She got different members to sign up for jobs. Walter and Joe are doing the menu and cooking. Walter said people could leave baskets and raffle items at his store on Front St. July is collecting gift cards from different stores.
