TO GROUND LEVEL ENTRANCE ON THE KENT ST. SIDE OF THE BUILDING. DO NOT USE ENTRANCE ON MEETING HOUSE LANE!

We are having a pot luck dinner. So far:

Walter will bring water, wine and beer. If you want soda, please bring it. JD says he will bring lemonade and juice. Jack says he will bring coffee  and tea.

Lucille – are you doing paper goods???      Sounds like a meal!

Usual opening of meeting. Rotary Minute was a thank you letter from Razia’s Ray of Hope. Janet reported the MOU’s for district grants have been mailed.

Other mail: Installation of DG Valerie Perry June 20th – reg. deadline the 13th; SSAC Gallery Show June 20th.

Other announcements: Joe reported on Memorial Day activities in Scituate.

Friendship Home Walk at Wampatuck June 27th, Request for support of Intern (Stephanie Jones) for Magical Moon Foundation. This is best met by individual contributions. It is also preferable that she come and talk to us with her request for support. JD will be handing out our scholarships next week at SHS. There will be a meeting with Ed Fox for phonebook committee on Monday morning.

SSAC requesting volunteers for their Art Festival weekend – 3rd in June.

Joe found Officer Dom and advised him of his status as Rotary volunteer of the year (and the luncheon he missed!)

Sue had the right ticket but picked the wrong cards. The queen remains secure in the remaining deck – and the money grows!

We were treated to Sue Heller’s poetry reading and learning a bit about her poetic life. Her presentation ended with a U-tube video of Kenny Roger’s singing “Mary did you know?” Lyrics from our Sue! Thanks so much for your sharing Sue – and well done!

Kathy shared a poem with us as well.

See you all next week with Lucille hosting at Meeting House Estates.

Janet
