Jean talked about membership. She has been a Rotarian for many years. She used to be a member of the Hingham-Hull Club until Hull started their own club, which is now the Nantasket-Hull Club. She said we should be interested in getting people of all ages. Pointed out the people who have just retired might be interested in Rotary. Getting town officials interested. Good idea to get new members on a committee so they are involved. She said the Nantasket -Hull Club has 29 members and meet at the Saltwater Diner in Hull, a store front restaurant on Wed. at 6:30 and that it is a dinner meeting. They might do things different but they go by the rules in getting new members. They have a speaker 3 out of 4 weeks per month. She talked about other ideas. She said have fun at your meetings.

Joe Small said he is a new member of 2 years of the Nantasket-Hull Club. . His father was a Rotarian in Rockland. He told us about all the great things his club does. They hold an annual car show with the police department and town. They had over 200 cars that came from all over. He told us of all the other things they do esp. for the community. He showed us the flier they give out to get new members listing what they do locally and internationally and where their meeting place with date and time. He suggested ways to get the information out about Rotary including articles in the newspaper, on face book and other media. He said young people are into technology like SKYPE, face time and E club (electronic ways share by meetings by telephone, which must be short and interesting, and share and exchange ideas).

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15.
