John Miller presented David Juliano with his scholarship. David was in the Rotary Interact Club at the Scituate High School for his four years in high school. He was a co-president in his senior year. He also had attended Ryla. He is going to major in computer engineering at college.

Debbie introduced Tracy Johnson and Mary Beth Fassnacht of the CORSE (Community of Resources for Special Education) Foundation. After the delicious meal John Miller presented Tracy and Mary Beth with a check for their programs. Mary Beth helped with The Northern Express. Tracy gave out fliers about their work and told us about all the different programs. She said most programs are integrated but a few are specialized catering exclusively for our special needs population to build skills. All children, those with and without special needs can successfully participate together within their community. The integrated programs are in all grades starting with preschool going up the 12th grade. Many have the buddies system. The students who are buddies find this a very rewarding experience and have written letters expressing their appreciation for this experience. Scholarships are given to students who have volunteered and to the Special Ed Students. During the school year the programs are mainly academic and in the summer it is camps and recreation.

She welcome all to come watch them at The Maritime Adventures.
