1 November 2017: Club Night

Secretary: Joan letter from The Boys & Girls Club, Marshfield about their Great Futures Gala on March 3, 2018. They are looking for Sponsors.

World polio: Word Polio Day was Oct. 24th.We are signed up to be at the transfer station on Nov. 18-19 with a tent and with the club banner. We will have Polio handouts and our large clear jug for donations. We will need people to sign up for being there that weekend. People signed up for both dates from 8 AM to 2 PM. Sat. 18th 8-10 Walter & Sue , 10-12 Joe & Dietrich, 12-2 Bart & Janet, Sunday 19th 12-2 Joan & Ching

Foundation Dinner is Nov. 9th 8 people said they were going. When you check in , get a receipt and club will reimburse ½ of the cost--per Bernie.

Nov. 18th (Sat) 1--3:30 Uganda water project at the Scituate Library (abbreviated description on library website) . We need  3 people to help with set up 12:30 - 1:30, and 2 people for 2:30 -3:30. Debbie will send out an e-mail.  Hope to have 50 cards made. Craft supplies will be provided ,or feel free to bring any of your own. We will also be collecting toothbrushes (adults & youth) and lightweight washcloths (no white please, lightweight so they dry quickly).

Walter and Sue have agreed to their store being a collection point for people to drop off toothbrushes and washcloths. They will also be delivered with the cards. Location: Library Community Room ( downstairs). There will be information on the project. 

Boston Bruins: Debbie received an e-mail about Providence Bruins “End Polio Now: night game on Saturday, December 2 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. The tickets are $15 each and a $5:00 donation will be made to the End Polio Now Campaign for every ticket sold as Rotary District 7950. The club members usually buy tickets for the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club.

Tree fundraising: We will need people to sign up. We need to decide what causes we might want to donate our Giving trees monies to.

Party for Cardinal Cushing students at the Baker Tavern

Janice is organizing it and suggest we only get 20 students and will need more then 20 Rotary members and friends .We will need to let the teachers know about our suggestion. We have Santa and Mrs. Clause.
