Newport Polo Club
Every year, the Newport Rotary Club sponsors the Newport Polo Club. We organize and conduct an entire match, from ticket sales and collection to consessions. We also organize the programs for the season, in conjuction with the Newport Daily News. This includes the schedule for the season, background on Polo, and biographies of all of the members of the Newport Polo Club.
The program itself is also one of our two biggest annual fundraisers. We sell advertisement space in the flyer for local businesses and organizations. These ads are a bargain for our customers because they cost no similarly to an ad in a single issue of the daily paper, yet they run all summer long in every program handed out at every polo match - as well as the first run of the flyer, which is included as an insert in a weekend issue of the published paper in May.
