Newport Rotary Charitable Foundation

The Newport Rotary club has created its own 501c3 charitable foundation. This enables the club to solicit tax-free charitable donations, as well as to conduct long term fundraising without incurring a tax burden. This in turn enables us to contribute to larger-scale needs than we would otherwise be able to with task-specific fundraising. It enables us to invest and grow raised funds. And it enables us to ensure there will be funding for our recurring charities and projects even in the face of a period of limited success in our annual fundraising efforts, such as is often precipitated by difficult economic times.

We have created the MacLeod Society to encourage our members to help bolster our foundation's endowment.
