TODAY'S SPEAKER: Joan Ricci
Joan recently re-joined the Attleboro Rotary Club after a brief hiatus. She had been a long time member of the club, decade long board member, and Past President. Joan also was the Executive Director of The Attleboro Literacy Center for many years. Upon retirement she started a daycare center for her grandchildren (currently ages 8, 5, 2, and 9 months). After a few years of tirelessly taking care of her grandchildren she realized that she really missed the close relationships that she had in the Attleboro Rotary Club. This past year she rejoined the club.
Joan talked about her love of family, the importance of her grandchildren in her life, and the relationships she made in Rotary as well as the Attleboro community as a whole. She discussed The Attleboro Literacy Center and how she treasured the diversity, the education provided, and the teachers and volunteers that she worked side by side with. Joan has also recently joined the Board of Directors for BETA.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. The annual Rotary/YMCA golf tournament is being held on Monday August 14th at Pawtucket Country Club. There are currently 76 golfer confirmed. We have three gold sponsors and eight silver sponsors and many tee sign sponsors. Sponsorships are no longer available, but we do have room for more golfers (up to five more foursome's maximum). Tell your friends.
2. The YMCA rooftop party is being held on Friday September 8th. Tickets are still available, but will sell fast. Please purchase yours asap. The rooftop committee are looking for donated bottles of wine and craft beer for the auction. Please either give to Alissa Hall or Jann Alden, or drop it right off at the downtown YMCA.
3. Bill Larson found some classic Rotary car show pins dating back 30+ years, back when the club used to run the car show. He brought them to today's meeting.
