TODAY'S SPEAKER (8/23.23): Attleboro High School Principal Kate Campbell
Ms. Campbell discussed opening the new high school last year. She would like the community to come and see the building, use the facilities. She wants it to be a flagship of Attleboro. They do have 19 CTE programs currently in place which is much more than most other high schools in the area (Durfee HS has 7). She said the new high school has the capacity of a city while maintaining the small, home town feel. Currently they have 1982 students. They are also focusing on life skills for the students and she hopes to get them involved with Rotary. The students want to help within the community and they just don't know how to. Hopefully Rotary can be that conduit.
Eventually there will be adult evening classes (both for students and adults). Everyone takes part in action civic classes. And the marketplace will be open this fall.

2. Kevin Cryan - $5 because he was at the meeting early for once and heard the music recording with Gerry Hickman's voice. He also gave an additional $1 - he competed in the Falmouth Road Race the past Sunday and finished with his best time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Rotary Apparel order is due by 8/31 - there is everything from shirts, hats, pullover, etc to choose from.
2. Todd Richardson - Empty Bowls program will be held on 9/23 at Capron Park. They need volunteers from 10:30am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 2:30pm.

9/8/23 - YMCA Rooftop Party at 6pm.
10/21 - Just for the Health of it at Capron Park Zoo sponsored by Sturdy Health. The event runs from 9 - 1.
10/25 - BETA's 50th anniversary reception will be held at the Attleboro Art's Museum from 6-8pm.
10/26 - Old Colony Habitat for Humanity wine tasting event.
