TODAY'S SPEAKER: Joe Andruzzi from the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation was founded in 2008 by former New England Patriot offensive lineman and three-time Super Bowl Champion Joe Andruzzi and his wife Jen. The foundation began from Joe's own successful battle with cancer and the couples ongoing work within the cancer community.
In 2007, Joe was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Burkitt's lymphoma, ending his professional football career. Joe remains cancer -free today, but a new passion emerged from his cancer journey: supporting other patients and their families. After personally witnessing the financial stress cancer can cause, Joe and Jen created the Foundation to help cancer patients and their families meet life's day-to-day challenges.

HAPPY BUCKS: Dan Blake gave $5 because he felt the club sounded like a Kate Smith rendition. **For those of you who don't know, myself included, Kathryn Smith was an American contralto. She was referred to as The First Lady of Radio and she is well known for her renditions of "God Bless America" and "When the Moon Comes over the Mountain". She became known as The Songbird of the South because of her tremendous popularity during WWII (probably not as popular as the duo today known as Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift though). Sadly she passed away from respiratory arrest and complications from diabetes on November 14th, 1987 at the age of 79.

Fun Fact of the week: The speed of light is equal to 186,000 miles per second. It takes a photon of light eight minutes to leave the sun and arrive at your eye here on earth. The nearest star to our solar system is Proxima Centauri. At current speeds humans could get there in 6,300 years, however if we could travel at 99.9% of light-speed, humans could get there in only 4.22 years. However, if you want your mind really blown, due to special relativity and time dilation, if you could travel at 99.9% of the speed of light, the occupants of the space craft would actually experience only .17 years while those on earth would experience 4.22 years. So if you left at the age of 30 and stayed for 8 months on Alpha Centauri and then returned to earth at 99.9% of light speed, your age would be 31, however every person on earth would have aged over 9 years.
