Rotarians Brad Mastaler and Jim Rigby were at the Emmanuel Foundation warehouse in Fort Saskatchewan in May to help send away our mammography machine, along with other medical equipment, to Nigeria.

Thanks to a partnership between the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove and the Rotary Club of Ekpan (Nigeria), we were able to send a much-needed mammography machine to Warri, Nigeria to help the approximately 500,000 women in the area.
The nearest mammography machine for these women would be 100 kilometres away, and travel is not easy for them.
Additionally, the Rotary Club of Ekpan has found that approximately 30 per cent of women between the ages of 30 and 55 suffer from breast cancer.
Our club arranged for transportation of the medical supplies and we are happy to finally have this equipment on the way!
