Club Goals for 22-23
Goals – 2022/2023

Pantano Rotary Club supports the needs of underserved youth and adults in the Tucson
community and beyond through service projects including but not limited to:

Sibling Picnic: bringing children in different foster care homes together to have a family photo and lots of fun once a year.

Angel Heart Pajamas Project: giving a pair of pajamas, a cuddle pillow, and a book to children who are taken by authorities from their parents to protect them.

Sunnyside School District Projects: we help children without homes or in situations where their parents need help to support them.

Lil Libraries: setting up books on southside streets since there are no libraries south of 22 nd Street.

Ecofilters: providing ecofilters in Guatemala for 130 schools to give children and their families clean drinking water.

Peace Pole: promoting peace by erecting a Peace Pole at Sabino Canyon Park as well as Sahuaro High School.

Scholarships for high school students: any student receiving all A’s at Dodge Middle School receive a check to encourage them to continue their studies.

Interact: Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club that gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards: RYLA is an intensive leadership experience organized by Pantano RC where young people can develop leadership skills.

4-Way Speech Contest: During the spring semester Pantano RC holds a Four-Way Test speech competition offered to high school students. The purpose of the speech is to apply the principles of Rotary International’s 4-Way test to a current ethical issue.

Fundraising for our projects: by selling tickets for the Tucson Classic Car Show which is run by another Rotary Club.
