Sponsorship Program
We would like to invite your company to join the many individuals, local groups, and businesses that currently support the Cambridge Area Rotary through our sponsorship program. Our sponsors in conjunction with our members and our fundraising efforts have enabled our organization to address many needs within our community and beyond. Our ongoing programs include:
Winter Wellness Days: In collaboration with Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Height of Land Publications and Cambridge Elementary School, we send local school children to the mountain for a week to learn about and enjoy outdoor activities that contribute to their health and wellness.
Summer Book Programs: By placing teacher selected books or magazines in the hands of every student entering 1st - 6th grades at both CES & WES schools, we encourage literacy development and learning.
Speech Contest: High school students have the opportunity to consider heavy social issues by preparing and presenting speeches as part of a scholarship competition.
Teens Teaching Technology Program: Hosted by the Varnum Library, local high school students are available to help older adults learn and understand technology.
RYLA: (Rotary Youth Leadership Award): Local high school students are selected to participate in a weekend workshop with other youth leaders to gain skills and to embolden them to become future leaders.
Other local programs:
Financial support: Cambridge Food Shelf, Girls on the Run and Jenna’s Promise, Cambridge Cares, Community Center (through Cambridge 360),
Business Directory Signs promoting local businesses at key points along the LVRT/ Cambridge Greenway.
Flood Relief: Last summer, we helped raise and distribute more than $63,000 to help meet the needs of local individuals, families and essential businesses impacted by the 2023 Vermont flood.
International Programs recently supported by Cambridge Area Rotary:
WASH: We provide support for an international clean water project helping to provide accessible and safe drinking water to families in Guatemala.
Shelter Boxes: We purchase Shelter Boxes to provide shelter, essential supplies and support to persons displaced by war or natural disaster.
Polio Plus: We continue efforts through Rotary International to eradicate polio worldwide.
In addition to monetary support, local Rotarians contribute countless volunteer hours in support of the above efforts as well as:
Splitting wood for the United Way Firewood Project to help heat our neighbors’ homes.
Fourth of July parade and festival, Rail Trail Celebration and Winterfest
Rotary Reads bringing rotarians to read to students at CES
Clean up, paint, weed and mulch for local trails, LVRT trail heads, Town Beautification Program, and parks in our town
Act as the Chartered Organization for local Scout Programs Pack 839, Crew 39 and Troop 39
Facilitated and assisted with ramp repairs for the Historical Society and the Food Shelf
Many hours of post flood clean up and repairs for the Cambridge Community Center, Cambridge Regional Health Center and throughout our town
Please help us continue providing this support to our community by becoming a Rotary Sponsor through a monetary contribution, donations of goods and services, or a combination that best suits your business model. Your sponsorship will ensure we can continue this important work.
