At the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc's President's Turnover Dinner, outgoing President Milt Hodgins made the rare decision to present two Rotarian of the Year Awards, explaining that selecting just one recipient was simply too difficult given the outstanding commitment shown by so many club members.

The first award was presented to Sonny Mundi, whose willingness to step up whenever needed made him an invaluable member of the club throughout the year. Whether flipping burgers and hot dogs at the Summer Splash BBQ, filling in for President Milt during his holidays, or taking over the club's IT and Zoom audio-visual responsibilities, Sonny was always ready to help at a moment's notice. Milt also expressed his confidence that Sonny will make an outstanding Club President in the coming Rotary year.

The second award was presented to Jacquie Olsen in recognition of her tireless behind-the-scenes dedication. Jacquie consistently ensured meeting venues were prepared and ready at Red Tail Landing, Blackjacks Roadhouse, and the meeting in Millet. She provided invaluable assistance with Rotary International reporting, goals, grants, and Foundation requirements, while also managing the registration desk each week, handling attendance and breakfast collections—often on her own. Her leadership at Lobsterfest and countless other club activities made her an indispensable part of the Rotary Club.

President Milt congratulated both recipients, thanking them for their exceptional service and commitment to the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self." Their dedication has helped make the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc stronger and better equipped to serve the communities of Leduc, Nisku, and the surrounding region.
