Shannon Dalke is a person of integrity—someone who is honest, dependable, and committed to doing what is right, even when it is not the easiest path. She is widely respected for her consistency, fairness, and willingness to take responsibility for her actions.
Among her many volunteer commitments, Shannon currently co-leads a monthly women’s support circle through the Leduc Co Collective. This donation-based circle offers a safe and supportive space for women navigating personal challenges, healing, and life transitions. Participants trust Shannon because she shows up with compassion, reliability, and authenticity.
Shannon and her husband, Ryan, moved to Leduc in 2000 with their four children. As a young mother, she quickly became deeply involved in the community—volunteering with ROMPS (a young mothers’ and children’s playgroup), as well as supporting minor soccer, baseball, football, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, and dance. She also contributed her time to parent groups at her children’s schools.
While building and operating their successful business, Rydal Construction, Shannon and Ryan remained actively engaged in their children’s activities through coaching, volunteering, and fundraising. After their youngest child graduated in 2018, Shannon felt a strong calling to continue giving back in a more purposeful and impactful way.
Drawing from her own experience with postpartum depression, Shannon chose to support women during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. She became a birth doula and now provides low- or no-cost support to mothers throughout their birth and postpartum journeys—offering care, understanding, and advocacy when it is needed most.
In 2019, Shannon began volunteering with the Leduc Hub Association, which supports individuals experiencing homelessness in the community. For several years, she dedicated her time to weekly overnight shelter shifts, building meaningful relationships with vulnerable individuals. This work is deeply personal to Shannon, as her own father faced similar challenges.
In 2024, Shannon stepped into the role of Chair of the Leduc Hub Association during a critical period, as the shelter was closing. Through her leadership, she has worked to maintain organizational stability, continue essential outreach programs, and actively seek sustainable solutions for the future of HUB’s services in Leduc.
From her early days as a young parent volunteer to her current roles as HUB Association Chair, birth doula, and women’s circle co-facilitator, Shannon’s contributions are best defined not just by what she has done, but by how she has done it—with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment.
Shannon Dalke will be recognized by the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc as the 2026 Integrity Award recipient at the Rotary District 5370 Integrity Awards Banquet on May 7, 2026.
