About Alberta Dreams
Alberta Dreams (formerly The Rainbow Society of Alberta) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making Dreams come true for children across Alberta who are facing severe chronic or life-threatening illnesses. We have been creating moments of joy, hope, and lasting memories for children and their families since 1986.
For nearly 40 years, our work has been fueled by the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and supporters who believe in the magic of Dreams. Together, we’ve fulfilled over 1,250 dreams and continue to grow our impact each year.

Tom’s Walk is more than an event — it’s a heartfelt journey that began in 2018, just six weeks after we lost Tom to mental illness. Each May since, this annual memorial walk has brought our community together in remembrance, connection, and hope. By 2024, it grew into the Tom’s Walk for Mental Health Society, a non‑profit rooted deeply in our hearts and in Tom’s legacy.
This walk — and the community around it — isn’t only about raising awareness of mental health challenges. It’s a safe, welcoming space where we share our stories, support one another, and honour the memories of those we’ve lost, speaking their names and carrying them with us.

The Prostate Cancer Centre (PCC), in partnership with the Southern Alberta Institute of Urology, is a charitable organization and world-class medical centre dedicated to the fight against prostate cancer. For more than 20 years, we’ve been advocating for equitable access to healthcare for all men across Alberta.
We offer one-stop support with comprehensive programs and services for patients and their families through every step of their journey – everything from education to blood testing for early prostate cancer detection to post-operative care and mental wellness support.
Our MAN VAN® Canada’s first and only mobile men’s health clinic offering free PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood testing for early prostate cancer detection in men in Alberta.
Our research department is recognized as one of the top facilities in Canada. We’re driving prostate cancer research forward while giving patients local access to participate in international clinical trials and cutting-edge treatments.
Men are more likely to avoid preventative care, delay treatment and are 67% less likely to have a general practitioner
March 26, 2026 - Janet Guthrie, Sport Tourism Director, City of Leduc
Janet was the leading effort alongside a dedicated volunteer organizing committee that hosted the 2025 Alberta 55 Plus Provincial Summer Games, in Leduc last August. As part of the organizing team, she played a key role in fundraising, event planning, and ensuring the success of this significant provincial event.
In addition to her role in Leduc, Janet serves as Chair on the Board of Directors for Sport Tourism Canada, contributing to the national development of sport tourism strategies and advocating for its potential to drive economic impact and community development across Canada.
Passionate about sport, community, and economic growth, Janet is committed to fostering lasting connections between communities and sports events that leave a positive impact for years to come.

March 19th, 2026 - Jill Spinks - Leduc Regional Housing Foundation
As Community Relations Coordinator, Jill Spinks is responsible for fundraising events, community awareness initiatives and board of directors relations.
Jill joined Leduc Regional Housing Foundation in 2022 and has a broad range of entrepreneurial, administrative, and public relations experiences that help her excel in her role. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education with a specialization in Older Adults as well as a diploma in Volunteer Management.
About the Leduc Regional Housing Foundation:As a non-profit, all funding and monies are put towards the services and programs we operate. Leduc Regional Housing Foundation invests its resources to improve the lives of its residents and tenants. As well, it places importance on building relationships, not just with its residents and tenants but with similar organizations. Working with its partners allows all organizations to pool resources and better respond to changing directions of government and community needs.
Originally established to provide seniors lodge housing accommodations to the seniors in the Leduc Region, Leduc Regional Housing Foundation has continued to evolve by providing a variety of housing accommodation options including:

March 5th, 2026 - Millet & District Museum
The Millet and District Historical Society was registered as a Society on February 25, 1977, to write the Tales & Trails local history book. We became a charity in 1985 when the Millet and District Museum and Exhibit Room opened. It's purpose was to: maintain, preserve, further develop and expand Millet's cultural resources and to ensure them for future generations by operating the Millet and District Museum. The museum is in the service of society and of it's development, and open to the public which acquires, conserves researches, communicates and exhibits, for purposes of study, education and enjoyment, material evidence of Millet and thirteen surrounding school district's people and their environment. The Society operates the Millet Archives within the Museum.
They are an Alberta Museums Association Recognized Museum in the Leader Category (2025-2033) & an Archives Society of Alberta accredited institutional archive.

CASA’s teams of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering services in collaboration with community partners. This includes assessment and treatment for more than 11,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.

Tania was born and raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta and still calls it home for half of the year. Tania embarked on a one-year internship in Mumbai (Bombay), India in 1999 and never dreamt it would lead her on a personal journey that finds her running schools for over 300 street children.
During her year in India, she came to realize that one person helping one child can make a difference not only for one child, but for the child's family and it's future generations. Motivated by that knowledge she founded a Canadian registered charity called One! International poverty Relief on January 29th, 2001 at just 22 years of age.
Tania is a very practical young woman who lives her beliefs in the challenging world of today, in a country she has come to, love and appreciate in all its beauty as well as in all its difficulties. Tania walks the talk.....
Tania has made the ask of support to our Club for a financial donation and Sonny has reached out to his friends in India to help Tania seek assistance from the Rotary Clubs in the Mumbai area.

January 29th, 2026 - Shannon Dalke, Leduc Hub - Board of Directors Chair
Shannon Dalke is a fixture in Leduc’s business community. For the past twenty years, she has been co-owner of Rydal Construction. Shannon is also a certified birth doula, and since 2023 has owned and operated the Nurturing by Nature doula service. Shannon serves on the Leduc Hub Association board, following an active role as a Hub volunteer and in service to her principles of altruism, support for the vulnerable, and positive change in communities. Shannon and her husband have raised four children in Leduc, where they have lived since 2000.
About Leduc Hub:
The Leduc Hub Association advocates for the protection of social services in the City of Leduc. Since our public-facing services closed in the spring of 2024, our board has been refreshed with new community representatives and a strategic advocacy mandate. Our aim is to improve the provision of shelter and housing services in our area by building better collaboration between municipal partners, like-minded social service agencies, and government partners at the local, regional, provincial, and national levels. These new initiatives follow our Save the Hub campaign, which raised awareness about the shelter challenges Leduc’s vulnerable populations face amidst the housing and affordability crisis.

Cassy has been with the Club since 2023 and it has been such a welcome experience! As a young person, Cassy was always busy babysitting, working at summer camps and facilitating child and youth programs. After achieving her Bachelor Degree in Child and Youth Care, she entered the field of Child and Family Services and spent the last 10 years of her career supporting children, youth and families in various direct client support work and leadership roles.
As the Executive Director of BGC Leduc, what excites Cassy most is the chance to amplify children and youth voices, establish long lasting collaboration with community partners and continue the great work of reducing barriers for children, youth and their families.
Safety, support, confidence, and healthy relationships set kids up for much more than a fun memory or a place to simply hang out. BGC Leduc has contributed thousands of opportunities for children and adolescents in our community to build resiliency, joy, and connectedness. Cassy is motivated to continue this momentum, get creative, and lead BGC Leduc’s rockstar team into their next chapter of potential!
