Statement of Condolences – Rotary Club of Nisku Leduc
The Rotary Club of Nisku Leduc extends its deepest condolences following the devastating tragedy at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright this past weekend, which claimed the lives of four Canadian Armed Forces members and left 39 others injured.
We mourn the loss of Sergeant Morgan Wong, Private Shaun Farrell, Private Aidan Goulding, and Private Hayden Lykkemark. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to their families, friends, fellow service members, and all those who are grieving this unimaginable loss.
Our thoughts are also with the 39 injured members, particularly those facing critical injuries, and with their loved ones as they navigate the difficult road to recovery. We recognize the courage and dedication of the emergency responders, medical personnel, and all those who have worked tirelessly to assist the injured and support those affected.
As Rotarians committed to Service Above Self, we stand in solidarity with the Canadian Armed Forces, the Wainwright community, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking event. May those who are grieving find comfort and strength, those who are injured receive the care and support they need, and all those affected find hope and healing in the days ahead.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Nisku Leduc, we extend our deepest sympathies and hold all those affected in our thoughts during this profoundly difficult time.
