Thank-you to the Fundraising Committee Libby, Greg, Ralph, Bill, Ben and Hélène. The Fall Fundraiser Dinner & Auction was a success and had a net Dinner & Auction Revenue of $20,119.00!Every dollar will go to supporting our charitable service projects & activities to Create Hope in the World!
Share the Opportunity
You already know how there is an advantage to be a Rotarian as it allows you to connect with people, provides opportunities to create hope around us and to serve where our community needs. It all started by an invitation.
Please take a moment to extend an invitation to someone to our meetings, make a point of honour to share the opportunity to be a Rotarian.

Polio Walk and Fundraiser
As we walked on October 18, we learned about Polio and appreciated our privilege of walking. Interesting how so many of us know someone who survived Polio.
Thank you Cheryl and Vicky for bringing cookies to accompany the hot cider afterwards.

Thanks to Sue Cesco (communications), Peter Medig (Generator Manager), Cheryl Nelson (installation), Vicky Gulevich (installation) and Hélène Gendron (clean up), Dwain Wacko (generator), Mark Howe (generator), Alex Beztilny (generator), the Pumpkin Path was a delightful event for young and young at heart!
Hi Rotarians!
I am just reaching out to say a huge thank you for your support with the pumpkin path!
Your financial donation for the pumpkins meant we had a hugely successful teen night with 46 teens carving pumpkins and connecting with their friends. We had a few pumpkins leftover so some of our clients at COS with disabilities, seniors and newcomers to Canada all got a chance to carve pumpkins too.
You generous donation of $2500 to the Food Bank combined with $866 raised at the Path meant we were able to give the Food Bank a generous cash donation.
We also collected 3 HUGE bins of food at the event – probably the equivalent of $800 in grocery shopping!
We had over 250 people attend the event and have had some great feedback.
We also super appreciated all the support of the rotarians who came to help volunteer with the set up, event and clean up including bringing generators and smiles to our event!
THANKS again, and I’m looking forward to next years event already!

Fall Fair
The jam sale was a success, yielding a remarkable profit of over $1200 after covering all expenses. As we gear up for the Valentine fair on February 11, we have just under 7 cases of jam left. A total of 49 individuals participated in the draw, with the message of considering Rotary membership. Dawn Glover emerged victorious, claiming the breakfast basket. The day was truly fantastic, and special commendations are in order. Cheryl, the driving force behind this project, deserves kudos for her on-the-ground efforts. Gratitude is extended to Libby for crafting the delicious jam and to Donnelly for orchestrating the behind-the-scenes organization. A round of applause is also due to the dedicated team, including Peter, Hélène, Vicky, and Laureen, who contributed to the setup, working the table, and tear down. Sincere thanks to everyone involved for their contributions!
Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that unleashes the power of people and organizations like Rotary to make big impacts and create hope in the world. In response to the Rotary Foundation’s challenge to use this day as a means of raising funds and awareness, the Rotary Club of Jasper will be making its annual Member & Club contribution to the Foundation Annual Fund to achieve our Club Foundation Goal and support district and global grants. Retired from non-profit sector after 23 years at Friends of Jasper. Spends time soaring.
First came to the club to give a presentation about the Friends. In preparations for the talk, I learned about Rotary and the values for a better world. So, after the talk, I was excited to have been invited to join, and became a member in 2008. Have served as President, Co-President, Secretary and Committees
I’m in Rotary because it makes me a better citizen of the world. When tragedies struck in the world, I felt helpless - now I know that by being an active Rotarian, I can help improve the lives of others, while improving myself. Defeating helplessness by creating hope.
