Parade, presentations of the vehicles

Had a parade throughout Mazatlan and then showcased at the town square of all the donations. Handed over the keys to the two ambulances and the small bus to Pearl in a ceremony, with TV and newspaper coverage. Then we were escorted by the armed police for a trip to a small town near El Quelite to a school that had been waiting for 15 years for a bus. We think that the kids walk 6-8 kms on a dirt road to go to school. And you should have seen 105 kids packed on a bus for their first ride! We had lunch a a famous tourist restaurant in El Quelite. Then we drove back into Mazatlan to present the Edson ladder fire truck to the Veteranos Bomberos which is a volunteer fire department. They have received 2 fire trucks from us in the past. Next we went to the Mazatlan Volunteer Fire Hall and presented them with the pumper fire truck from the Sunrise Club. The Rotarians hosted us for supper at a restaurant this evening.
