Today our plan was to depart Lake Havasu City at 0830 hrs, as the drive to Nogales wouldn't be too onerous. When we were loading luggage into our vehicles we were surprised to see our long lost ambulance in the parking lot as well. No one in the group had been contacted by Mike or Glen and we didn't know when they arrived, so we weren't sure if we should wake them.

They were up anyway after finding our vehicles by driving around town at 0430, then catching 4 hours of sleep. These guys had left Butte, Montana and drove 1600 kms to catch up to us. They had encountered ignition problems and had to change the coil and the ignition wires in Idaho Falls and then the ignition module in Salt Lake City. I think they need a medal for this effort. So we started towards Nogales at 0930 and drove following the Colorado River for a while and then into the desert towards Phoenix. Scenery was very interesting to watch. We had to stop for gas and food at one point. The ambulance once again did not want to start. It was flooded, but Mike was up to the challenge. This involved removing parts of the carburetor and cleaning the needle valve in the parking lot. We also placed an additive in the fuel tank and it's been running great ever since. We got to Nogales at 1900 hrs, had supper and got to bed once again.
