The following note was sent to Outbound Youth Exchange Chair - Susan Mackenzie:

Dear Susan
Wow I can not believe it's May already! It's incredible how fast time flies. I hope you are well and are enjoying the good weather. I have been very busy lately but I am having a great time. I just got back from my three week Germany tour, which was absolutely amazing. It was so much traveling around Germany with the exchange students and being able to see so many different things. Everyday we would travel to a new town or city and explored what they had to offer. We visited Hamburg, Dresden, Frankfurt, Bremen, Koeln, and many other smaller cities as well. We also went to Strasbourg in France. In my opinion Hamburg was the prettiest place we visited. We stayed there for three nights and the city and the harbour were absolutely breathtaking. My Germany tour was one of the best experiences I've had here and I will definitely miss traveling with my friends.

This weekend I am switching to my fourth and final host family, which I am quite excited about. I have met and traveled with my fourth host mother on several occasions and she is a very kind women. I will miss my third host family though. Staying with them is lots of fun and there is always something for me to do around the house. School is great now. Every week I am busy with my extracurricular activities, big band, choir, basketball, and volleyball and it is lots of fun hanging out and having a good time with my friends. My German has gotten much better lately and I have not had a single English conversation with my third host family. Usually, I read German books and comics in the school as well as working with my German course.

It's hard to believe that I will me home in a little more than two months. But until then I hope to make the most out of the time I have left. So anyways, I hope that everything is going well back in Grande Prairie and that everything is going smoothly with the club's new exchange student.

Liebe Grusse aus Deutschland,

Tory
