Stephan Pernal on "The Status of Canada's Bees"
Posted by Karen Scribner
Stephan Pernal from Agriculture Canada's Beaverlodge Research Station gave us a interesting look at the status of Canada's bees. Bees are a $200 million industry in Canada and are key to to pollinating our food and feed crops. Bee deaths is a worldwide issue in developed areas. Stephan is part of a global initiative working on bee mortality and is conducting applied research with GPRC's National Bee Diagnostic Centre. Stephan was thanked for his August 27th presentation by Rotarian Wayne Ayling.
