Philanthropy - the love of humanity, caring for, nourishing, developing or enhancing humanity.

If we look in the mirror and see the needs of others I believe we're on the path to "philanthropy".  Jim and Mary-Helen Boccioletti were presented with a plaque by Chris Anderson and Delayne Weeks on Wednesday September 28th. Jim and his wife Mary-Helen have graciously provided years of physical, mental and financial support to many wonderful causes and in doing so exemplify "service above self". If you look closely at their picture you might say they don't appear overly excited, but you also have to understand that Jim and Mary-Helen do what they do for the "love of humanity" and like many philanthropists... It's not so much about the recognition as it is the envolvement. It's one small step and a choice... Treat others as you want to be treated.
