Merv Crouse Memorial Poker Tournament

43 club members and guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship at the 3rd Annual Merv Crouse Memorial Poker Tournament. This event held at the Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club is a memorial to Rotarian Merv Crouse, a valued member of the community and our Rotary family.
Merv was a 2nd generation Rotarian in Grande Prairie and sadly passed away in 2008. His business, personal and family life reflected the ideals of Rotary. As busy as we was, Merv never forgot to balance work and play. He enjoyed playing many sports, like golf and basketball, and hosted many nights of poker with friends.
In his honour, the Swan City Rotary Club hosts a memorial fun night tournament on an annual basis. This year, we had several Rotarians donate fantastic prizes valuing over $1500. We want to thank everyone who was able to come out to participate as well as all those who donated prizes and helped organize and setup for the event.

Additional funds will be donated to Rotary's relief efforts in Japan following the earthquake. We expect to be able to raise over $500 from this fun night event.
