Holy Toys Batman!

Holy toys!! Batman. The Big Toy Box was an overwhelming success this year. We had a large donation of toys, which found they way to us from Shoppers Drug Mart doing a change over. This along with the generosity of Grande Prairie residents and businesses who donated tons of toys and $19000.00 cash.

We were able to exceed the requests of the following organizations. Wembley, Beaverlodge, Hythe, Spirit River and Sexsmith hampers. Also Pregnant and parenting teens, Pace, Babies best start, Sunrise house, Kidsport, Catholic family services, Odyssey house, Foster parents association, Centerpoint facilitation.

We also hope that we reached some kids that might fall through the cracks because they are in very low-income conditions but aren't serviced through an agency. This was done through the consolers at Ivy Macklin, Holy Cross, St. Clements, Hillside and the Wembley School.

Huge thanks to Ken Lanstaff for collecting and distributing all the toys along with Sandy and Colleen form Big Country. Also thanks to Delayne, Mary-Ann, Naomi, Sharon, Kelly, Wayne, Ken Sutherland, and Ken Norman from Big Country for helping sort the toys. Thanks to Frank and Maxim storage for the use of 3 bays and yes they were all full of toys.
