Highway to Mexico: In Mazatlan

We made it to Mazatlan. We left Hermosillo at 8:30 AM. The last leg of drive to Mazatlan would be just one of our longest days. We arrived in Mazatlan at approximately 1 AM. It was a very long day filled with excitement. We had small delay when one of the fire trucks starting overheating. We, also, had a flat tire to fix, which delayed our arrival by 1 hour. Before arriving in Mazatlan,we dropped off one of the fire trucks to a local community. Being able to see the excitement in their face,when they received the fire truck and tried on the fire fighter equipment, made the entire trip worth it. Our official duties start on Monday morning when we have breakfast with the local rotary Club. We have lunch with the mayor of Mazatlan at the Aquarium.
