G.E.M. Munro. How teaching in Bangladesh is saving lives.

In some of the most densely populated slums of Bangladesh the Munro's have begun to seed change.

The change has come in the form of teaching. Teaching mothers basic english, math and social skills that would never have happened for the poor. G.E.M.'s book titled "South Asian Adventures with the Active Poor" tells of the gruesome hardships and living conditions of a beautiful people suppressed from education by the elite for the sake of wealth and identity. He also talks about the victories and heart warming moments of women who have all but given up on life find a reason to live AND go on to teach their family and friends.
