Drag Wars 2009 a Huge Success!

The weather was great; the crowds were plentiful and the volunteers were awesome! Drag Wars 2009 was an excellent event this year. Swan City Rotary teamed up with the North Peace Bracket Racing Association and Pat's Ato to host this year's event. Held at the Grande Prairie Regional Airport, the three day event from August 21-23, featured several high powered showcases including King of the Street, the Ducati Urban Freestyle Team, the Prairie Gold Canola Bio-Diesel Jet Truck, the Her-O-Cane Jet Dragster, Solver Fox Jet Truck, the Under the Sun Mechanical Big Rig Shootout, Anger Management and the Wheelie Fun Wheel Stander combined with time trials for local drivers too.
