Arbor Day

On May 6, 2010, Swan City Rotarians joined Alberta Sustainable Resource Development staff, staff from local forest products companies and Bertie the Beaver to pack Lodgepole Pine and White Spruce seedlings, take part in a delicious breakfast provided by SRD and then took off to the schools to make presentations about trees to grade 1 classes. The students loved receiving the trees and many had excellent stories to share about trees and why they are so good. Thank you to all of the volunteers who assisted in making this day wonderful!
